Havurah Shalom

This adaptive reuse project joined two separate concrete warehouses to make space for a new synagogue, school, library, and offices.

  • Location: NW Portland, OR

We developed a program, construction budget, and schedule that would accommodate the limited funds available. To control costs, the construction took place over two phases.

Phase I completed the sanctuary and offices.

Phase II contained the clasrooms and social hall and joined the two buildings with a skylit entrance gallery.

We worked closely with the building committee to match program costs.
